What will I be when I grow up?

What will I be when I grow up? image

Millions of girls in Afghanistan are asking themselves this question.

We did it — our Spring 2026 semester is underway!

At our opening ceremony, one of our long-time students and volunteers shared how AESOP changed her life. Her story reflects what we see every day: education creates confidence, connection, and opportunity.

This spring, nearly 600 students are enrolled in AESOP classes, taught by almost 100 volunteer teachers, selected from over 4,500 applicants all over Afghanistan. Our program continues to grow because the need is real — and because volunteers show up.

Behind the scenes, that growth is currently supported by a very small team:

  • 1 full-time director, Dr. Seth Holm
  • 1 part-time assistant director, an AESOP student and undergrad, also studying for the LSAT

To sustain this work, we need help.

Please donate and help more Afghan girls become the women they were meant to be.
